Curriculum: P.E.
Miss Fisk -Year 6 teacher and P.E Co-ordinator.
As the Autumn term begins all children can look forward to an action packed year in school. The swimming pool will be ready for use at the begining of term up until the October half term when we stop our swimming timetable due to the colder weather.
Last year we had lots of success as a school, we won all three badminton leagues (you can see the trophies in the school reception area) and were the winners of the Bridlington Primary School netball league. All children received a medal which they get to keep. Well done to all those children who took part.
During this term I am sure the SSCO will be organising many interschool competitions and festivals for all year groups to take part in. These events are very popular with all children and encourage the development of new skills and knowledge of game rules.
The following clubs will be running during the Autumn term, badminton, cricket, swimming badges, gym, netball and football,(these are separate for the upper school and lower school).
If your child is interested in joining one of the sports clubs in school see the P.E notice board at the back of the hall for more details or come and find me and I will be able to give you more information.
Hopefully the weather will stay dry for as long as possible so that we are able to take the children out for P.E and games lessons!
